Kawakuji's Angels
With every rescue we seek the highest quality of care we can provide. Kawakuji Animal Rescue will also take on hospice fosters to give our animals a fighting chance. If they are unable to be adopted, it is our mission to provide them with love and care until the very end. Our fosters who have left us over the rainbow bridge are our angels, and the lessons we learned by caring for them help us provide for all of our new fosters.

Bo
Bo was truly the Kawakuji Official Mascot. He was unrecognizable from when we first met him after he was abandoned in the fields of Tochigi. He was skin and bones, covered in fleas, had a perianal adenoma, rotten teeth, entry stage kidney failure, a prostate the size of a grapefruit, a UTI, he was mostly blind, and completely deaf. We weren't sure where to even begin with all of his conditions, but we knew we had to try! With help from our supporters, we gave Bo two extra years of life with love and comfort. He left us in the arms of his foster knowing that he was cared for and loved until the very end.
